A career at sea is impossible without continuous training and certification. Friends, we continue our series of articles on training centers in Europe where sailors can undergo training and obtain the necessary certificates to work at sea.
As a rule, people who choose to work at sea either are head over heels in love with romance of travelling, or are dreaming about big money. Those in the second category clearly know where they are working and why, what prospects are open to them. However, there are some factors that do not always depend on a specific sailor.
MUR is a market leader in the dry bulk cargo industry. In 2018 MUR increased their controlled vessel fleet to 63, of which 41 vessels are owned – 26 in joint ventures – and 22 on long term charter contracts. The oldest vessel is 16 years and the average age at just 5.7 years.
