Our Crewing Agency - Smart Group - was founded in 1996 in Constanta, Romania. We are a “group“ of dedicated, capable and energetic people, who offer our Principals fast, accurate and efficient services, in Human Resources and Shipping field. We have been Certified by the Romanian Naval Authority and the Ministry of Transport to operate as a Manning Agent and a Shipping Port Agent. Our Agency is able and has all the capabilities necessary to search, recruit and train the sea-going personnel for a wide variety of dry and wet cargo vessels, including Bulkers, Containers, Heavy lifts, Oil / Product / Chemical tankers, Ro-Ro, AHTS / Cable layers / Drilling Vessels and Offshore Installations. Our database consists of more than 18,000 Romanian Officers, Cadets and Ratings.
The Cadet selection and training is a separate activity. We have a very good relationship with both the Naval Academic Institutions in Constanta - NAVAL ACADEMY and the MARITIME UNIVERSITY. We keep a close and permanent contact with them in order to be able to search and find promising Cadets, starting with their 3rd year of studies. We can verify their aptitudes and skills as well as their marks and professors evaluations.
