How Your Facial Expression in a CV Photo Affects Perceived Competence

Psychologists, HR professionals, and nonverbal communication researchers have long studied how facial expressions in photos shape the perception of a person as competent, trustworthy, and right for the job.

The next-generation maritime platform is designed to integrate the entire shipbuilding process — from ship design and production to supply chain management, quality control, and maintenance — into a single 3D model-based data environment powered by artificial intelligence and digital technologies. This will ensure consistent information is available at every stage of the process.

With this platform, shipyards will be able to communicate design changes and production status information in real time directly to production sites and throughout the supply chain, enabling informed decision-making and helping prevent delays and quality issues.

To support these efforts, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering plans to create a “virtual shipyard” that will simulate the operation of a real shipyard, allowing production processes and equipment operations to be modeled in a digital environment.

“Artificial intelligence is not simply a tool for improving productivity, but a revolutionary technology that is changing the way ships are designed, built, and operated,” said H. K. Kim, President and CEO of HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering.

Ultimately, the company aims to create an autonomous production system that will provide digital connectivity across all stages of ship construction — from design and production to logistics, inspection, and sea trials.
