The system combines a telehealth app with a monitoring device that automatically records six key health metrics – blood glucose, blood pressure, body temperature, ECG, heart rate, and oxygen saturation – and uploads the data to a secure digital record.

The readings can be shared live with onshore doctors during consultations using vessel connectivity systems, with the aim of improving diagnostic accuracy and reducing the need for unnecessary medical evacuations.

The platform also supports data-driven analysis of crew health trends and medicine usage.

“With CDV Health, seafarers can access care and carry their medical records wherever they go, giving them true ownership over their well-being,” said Meei Wong, Founder and CEO of CircleDV.

The company says it has built a network of more than 80 medical professionals across over 20 countries to support the introduction of the service, including India, Singapore, the Middle East, Hong Kong, China, and the Philippines.
