Requirements:

ELECTROTECHNICAL OFFICER
The Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) monitors all onboard electronic and electrical equipment – maximizing the operational safety and efficiency of the vessel.
Maintains a wide range of complex onboard electronic and electrical equipment. Deals with technical challenges and equipment as diverse as the main electric generation plant and electronic communication systems.

The Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for:
Maintenance of lighting system onboard.
Keeping a check on the working conditions of all the motors, their temperature, pump alignments and vibrations.
Maintenance of the provisional reefer plant, running generators, accommodation AC, etc.
Working under and reporting to the head of the Engine Department i.e., the Chief Engineer.
Maintenance of cranes, mooring winch, hatch covers, etc.
Responsible for Radio Communications.
Handles the Electronic Navigation System.
Maintenance of fire alarm systems, emergency systems, detectors, etc.
Repair and maintenance of the gyro compass, RADAR Broadcast and Internal Aerial System, Echo Sounders.
Maintenance of all electrical equipment and machinery including electrical propellers onboard ship.
