Position: QUARTER MASTER
Fleet: Cruise vessels of MSC Cruises
Department: Deck
Salary: EUR 3,404.81 (with opportunity to grow)
Contract length: 6 Months (+15/-30 days)
Job Purpose:
Stand watch as helmsman and lookout, maintain a steady course, execute all rudder orders and
communicate using navigational terms relating to heading and steering
Position Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience at sea as AB and minimum 1 year of experience as Quarter
Master/helmsman (Cruise, Ro-Pax, Ro-Ro, Ferry, Container, Bulk carrier type vessels of mid
and large size)
• Sufficient knowledge in maintenance, technique and seamanship
• Good knowledge of COLREG Regulations
• Satisfy the requirements of STCW 95 regarding the certification for this position
• Certificate of Proficiency Reg. II/4 or Reg. II/5
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment
