Duties and Responsibilities:

Area Specific:-
Be fully compliant and qualified in the health and safety requirements for all stores operations.
Be responsible for the control, security, safe stowage of stores delivered to the main stowage areas and whilst stock/stores are being transferred to ship internal locations.
Receipt in all stock and stores delivered to the vessel and any other stock control responsibilities as required by the Operations Manager and/or Managers.
To requisition stores and stock as required by the Operations Manager and/or Manager.
Maintain stock levels and rotation appropriate to the vessel requirements and as required by the Operations Manager and/or Manager.

Be responsible for ensuring that all staff deployed to stores areas comply with stores working routines and operations systems put in place by the Operations Manager.

Be responsible for all the training requirements, vocational and statutory, for the staff working in stores areas.
That all staff under their control conduct themselves in a safe, professional and responsible manner and are fully aware of all ship health and safety requirements.
